We are all surrounded by people who say they know whats best and to follow what they believe. We see it all the time, on Television, in Magazines, in Advertisement everywhere. A lot of people fill what they consider to be the backing of their statements with a bunch of fluff to me. You can tell a lot about the genuineness of someones statement on whether they skirt around point blank answering your question or not. I stumbled on this video below because I was curious. I like to gather as much information on different topics I am interested in to make my own statistics as to whether something is legit or not.

Topic at hand today is the Paleo and Ketogenic diets that are pretty backwards to the way I have been taught on food intake. If you want a lean body eat the way of our ancestors. Look at the food pyramids above, it is a radical switch from the way our food pyramid is. Who is to argue what is best for our body but our body and how it uses the energy and fuel we give it. If your not feeding yourself the right things you have the fat to show it.

I do not have enough research to preach that it is the best thing for you but I will let the experts like Doug McGuff MD explain in detail how our cells in our body work. Not in the snore snore, I'm bored, I don't want to learn this stuff they taught me in science class crap all over again detail, but something that in my 28 years I have never been taught. I have taken science in high school, Human Biology in College and Human Anatomy in College, and nothing was explained or made sense like Doug articulated so well.

Set aside and hour an and half and let this man teach you what should have been taught to all of us at a younger age. I had an Agha! moment. My whole perspective has changed on how I have been taught certain things and what we are all thought to be healthy and fit. Suddenly things make sense, and once you are gifted this, the question then comes down to what you are going to use to fuel your body.

Science, and complete in depth down to the nitty gritty cells is beyond a doubt a fact to me. There is no wiggle room to argue with, and that gives me peace of mind. We have people constantly trying to fill our heads with a bunch of crap because they hold degrees, certificates, we are supposed to listen to them and trust them. This man is not pushy he is just telling you the biochemistry of the cells in our body.

I will touch on this topic at hand again once I gather more data and information about it. Being a carb lover and someone that has tried restricted low carb diets in the past I am not a fan of the thought of cutting out something in my life that my body craves so much. I read something yesterday that spoke to me, if we crave it our body has a bad relationship with it. So I am going to keep an open mind to all of this and figure out how to incorporate the best fuel into my body possible to create the ultimate performance of mental and physical function.


A Few health changes that occur on the Paleo Diet/ Lifestyle change:

  • Finally get the famous six-pack or flat stomach;
