Gluten Is The WORST Thing You Could Be Consuming

The title speaks truth, yes gluten is THE WORST thing you could be consuming right now. But you thought it was only associated with celiac disease? You thought wrong. Let me give you a simplified lowdown on gluten.

What is gluten? 

Gluten means "glue", it is a combination of gliadin and glutenin and is a protein. Gluten is in everything, white flour, wheat flour, breads of all kinds, most liquor and most beers, in makeup, in shampoo, lotion, sunscreen....everywhere.

So why is this protein so bad for us?

For starters no human, no one can actually digest gluten. Every human being has a negative reaction to wheat in one way or another.

What exactly does that mean? 

This means that the second gluten enters your digestive system your body doesn't know what to do with it. We cannot digest it, so the body reacts with inflammation in various ways. This inflammation is directly linked with leaky gut.

What is leaky gut?

Leaky gut is when your guts lining isn't as tightly bound as it should be and foodstuffs can enter the bloodstream. Our body's do not recognize this foodstuffs entering our body and they begin to attack it. The toxins released by this can go anywhere in your body. It can settle in the gut, it can settle in the brain, it can settle anywhere. This is the main cause of all medical conditions...a leaky gut.

How can we heal the gut?

Probiotics! Probiotics help heal the gut by balancing out the good and bad bacteria in the gut, it might take some time to heal, months to years. During the healing process you need to eliminate any food that causes inflammation in the body, and yes this includes wheat/gluten. You have to start slowly with probiotics or homemade probiotics, you need to slowly introduce them so that you get the right amount of good bacteria and bad bacteria. If you ever have smelly gas it is literally the smell of the proteins you have eaten petrifying in your digestive track....this is a sign that you need to heal your gut.

But I cant stop eating bread!!!

Well, wheat gives you opiate like effects, and going gluten free can cause withdrawal symptoms. Your brain thinks your getting opium when you eat wheat. Thats 200x's more powerful then morphine. So when you say you cant go gluten free or stop eating store bought exactly addicted to the opium are you? You can get over it and adjust to the life change it just depends on how badly you want to feel better.

So what do we have here?

NO HUMAN BEING CAN DIGEST WHEAT! So why have people been encouraging us to eat this? Well for starters the head of the FDA used to work for Monsanto...yes he used to work for Monsanto. So this is why genetically modified foods will never be ripped from the shelves and the investigation of looking at labels must be put in our own hands. Plus wheat is cheap! Wheat is much cheaper then steak or good quality meats.

The question now becomes what is YOUR body's reaction to wheat?

Why eat something toxic to us? 

Get rid of wheat and grains and anything GMO, it has zero benefit and a plethora of negative outcomes. Think of your animals for a second (if you have any). Your dog is supposed to eat dog food (hopefully gluten free too), that's what your animal functions best on. But if all of a sudden you gave your dog nothing but candy or even a few pieces of candy a day he would have a negative reaction to it. Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, possibly even death depending on the consumption. If you wouldn't feed your animal candy then you shouldn't feed yourself or your loved ones gluten/wheat/grains.

If you cant digest it why eat it? 

Its your choice what you put in your mouth each day, empower yourself with foods that nourish you and allow your body to properly function. We are meant to heal, feed yourself so you can. Think about it and make a change. Choose to live longer, choose to feel better.

Being "gluten free" isn't enough if you are purchasing store bought "gluten free" products. Don't replace something bad with something bad. The gluten free flour mixes have the same if not higher glycemic index as gluten based products! And gluten/wheat has a higher glycemic index then table sugar. Yes, wheat translates in your body as more sugar then sugar. This means its high carb and high carb will make you fat. You might not get as much inflammation with only gluten free foods but you need to find gluten free foods that is low carb too. Processed and packaged gluten free foods are no good. I am still on the hunt for low carb, gluten free, sugar free things in the store....if you find any please let me know. Until then you will have to make things at home out of gluten free flours that is low in carb like Almond Flour, Coconut Flour and Flax meal/flour.

Being gluten free isn't enough, you need to be gluten free and sugar free to see real health changes.

Gluten free, sugar free and low carb is really the way to be.
