Just reading/looking at the word does NOT give anyone the warm and fuzzies. FEAR! Ugh...*shrugs shoulder*

So, what's this post all about? Everyone has fears, but the big thing people do not take into consideration...or lets' be PC (politically correct), most don't take into consideration is how fear and being in a constant fight or flight mode will stop you from getting to your goals on a physical level, and definitely on a mental level.

Let's dig deeper.

When we are in a fear state our body thinks we are being chased by a tiger! Fight or Flight in full effect! The body thinks this huge creature with sharp teeth as going to catch up to your speed and will maul you once given the opportunity. ITS RIGHT! We will probably trip over some pebble, a random branch or a snake will pop up at that perfect place at the perfect time...perfect for the tiger...not you. But let's rewind here.

We are not being chased by a tiger but the way we think makes us feel like we are. Thoughts and emotions are two different things, yet we confuse the two and put the two together. I can imagine something and it's going to directly make me feel happy sad, etc.

So where am I going with all this?

If you have something going on in your life that is making you stay in constant fight or flight (you get defensive easily, you think negative first, you're anxious, stressed, depressed, self sabotaging etc.) YOU are going to have to get YOU out of it. You are going to have to get out of fight or flight to lose those last pounds...to think clearer, to get better sleep etc.

We have two options:

It's one or the other, not both.

You must find relaxation techniques that actually work. We all are going to have different things that will actually do the job. I use yoga and meditation with daily affirmations. The idea is to feel calm and peaceful. Until you feel calm and peaceful the majority of the time your body is going to hold onto that fat! It thinks you are being chased by that tiger remember! Why would you lose weight when you are being hunted....literally by your own thoughts.

So take this opportunity to slow down. Live in this moment. Stop living in the past, stop living in the future. Happiness is in the now....not back there or up there. BUT here. Make an active choice to want to create calm peace in yourself. Breathe in the old....exhale the old shit. Exhale it out. Get it out. OUT! Exhale that fear, exhale those doubts, exhale the roadblocks and inhale a new you.

You need to believe in you, you hold all the power my dear. The real question is why aren't you using it yet?

Easier said? Try it!

Once you get your body and mind into a restful and peaceful state you WILL see changes in your body, you WILL lose those last couple pounds. It is all possible, but it starts in the mind.

To healthy positive thoughts.

Until Next Time...
